Women Empowerment
The organization always respects the potential of women in rural areas who lacked education due to various reasons. From the perspective of literacy, women are less academic experience than men. The way women are struggling hard to change not only their own destiny but better life for entire family members are beyond comprehension.
The organizational strength of 609 Self Help Groups are visible in the area and others are also learning from the efforts of women. With the passage of time mother-in-law and daughter-in-law are members of same groups. This reflected the attitude of understanding and openness among women. The organization always highlighted extraordinary success by ordinary women to encourage others. The continuous process of capacity building changed our simple women to courageous women who now raise their voice for the welfare of vulnerable people out of mainstream.
Leadership capabilities emerged among the women. There are 287 women who has been elected as a ‘ward member’ (representing a village area) was elected to the block level. The elected representatives included ordinary members as well as group leaders. 287 elected women representatives are active in the panchayat, attending meetings regularly, carrying out responsibilities; as a result social security schemes like Janani Suraksha Youjna (Maternity benefits schemes), Old age pension, Widow Pension and Disability Pension made easily accessible to target women.
Capacity Building on leadership, Right to Information Act, Conflict management developed leadership quality among women. 7 women appointed as Anganbari Sevika, Jal Sahiya, Ward Member. We observed that these women are sincerely developed Village Plan and tapping schemes according to the priority.
Women are able to strengthen their active participation in the Gram Shabha and equally decisions are taken in the meeting for self-governance. 57 % women are participating in the gram Sabha, 45 % of women participated in Yojna Banao Abhiyan. 40% women are elected as PRI members and 77% of women are elected as School Managing committee
